Will you be updating this to incorporate adding dates and a history so you can track where you injected on what date, further than just the last injection? Plus, it would be great to have the option of weekly reminders, instead of just daily ones.
We are considering both of these options.
We have included a Timestamp feature in the forthcoming 2.1 release. We are about to start the Beta program for this release. If you would like to be a Beta tester for this release, please click the SignUp for 2.1 Beta menu above.
We have recently found a bug with ShotPut related to the new IOS 9. The behavior occurs on started. The message area only shows the word “Message”. Pressing on a location will update this.
We have a fix which is being tested, and will appear in an update within a couple of weeks.
I am really happy that this app is available. I am one of those who can never remember were that last injection went. Have you considered something like shotput for finger sticks. As I check two to three times a day I can’t remember which fingers I used and if I use the same spot it starts getting sore.
A good suggestion, Michael. We are considering how to how to implement your suggested feature. I have a regimen that goes like this:
I use only my pinkie, ring finger, and middle fingers on each hand on alternate days, On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I use my right hand, and on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday I use my left hand.
I use the sides of my finger tips, not the pad. Breakfast – outside of pinkie; lunch – inside of pinkie; dinner – outside of ring finger; snack – inside of ring finger. Before exercise – inside of middle finger. And so on if I need to do more tests. Sunday requires special handling so I don’t repeat the locations I used on Saturday, or the locations I will use on Monday. Typically, I will use the two sides of the middle finger on the left hand, and the two sides of the ring finger on the right hand. I try to avoid using the index finger or thumb because the locations continue to bleed after the finger stick more than they do on the other fingers. Let us know how this works for you, as it will be the pattern we use when implementing your suggestion for a ‘Finger Stick ShotPut’. Thank you for your suggestion.
An Android version of ShotPut is now available at the Google Play Store
